Notes

Viewers can take notes in the Panopto viewer. By default, notes are only available to the person who entered them.  But students can choose to share notes if they wish; instructors have the ability to prevent students from sharing notes through the folder settings.

Bookmarks

Viewers can add bookmarks to recordings to mark places of interest

Discussion

• Discussion adds the option for logged in users to leave feedback or general commentary that everyone who can watch the video can see.
• The discussion feature is enabled by default but can turned off by instructors for specific recordings, or for all recordings within a folder
• To disable Discussion on all recordings within a folder
• Open Class Recordings (or other folder you want to modify) and click the gear icon to access folder settings
• Click Settings then check the box for Disable comments on all sessions in this folder
