There are three methods that you can use to download data from your Google@SAS Drive account.
Please keep in mind that the amount of time it takes to download the files will vary according to the volume of data storage.
Download Locally
Google offers the option to download your files locally to your computer so you can then choose where you would like to save the data once you have it. This method lets you pick and choose whch files to download. This method downloads a copy of the files but does not preserve versioning information or modification history. You can find Google's instructions for downloading files here.
Syncovery
Use the Syncovery app to transfer data between your Google@SAS Drive and a commercial Google Drive, Dropbox, or One Drive. Sycovery offers a 30 day free trial. Instructions for configuring a connection from your Google@SAS account can be found here.
Google Takeout
Google takeout creates an archive of your Google@SAS account contents including Gmail, Drive, and many other services. We would recommend using takeout for Drive data and other services but not for moving emails. (Note that email does not count toward your 100GB Google Drive quota.) We recommend a manual method of moving messages if you are in need of moving those to another account. Google takeout archives mail in MBOX format which can be a multi step process to import into other services. Google Takeout can store the resulting archive in Google Drive, DropBox, One Drive, or it can be made available for download. When downloading via Takeout folder structure is not retained.
