The Vitale Digital Media Lab has a large assortment of multimedia equipment to help with your big presentation, phone battery emergencies, or recording 3D videos for your hamster's climb to internet stardom! Current Penn students, faculty, and staff can borrow equipment for both academic and personal use. Equipment can be reserved online through WebCheckout and picked up in the Vitale Digital Media Lab (Weigle Information Commons, Van Pelt Library).
For course-related assignments, students may borrow equipment from the Multi-Media Services deparment (located in the basement of David Rittenhouse laboratory) under the following conditions:
- Students may borrow equipment for SAS courses only with written authorization from the instructor and subject to the terms of our equipment loan policy for students
- For some classes, the instructor has made provisions for students to borrow portable recording equipment. If you're in one of those classes, and have been directed to do so by your instructor, please go to the reservation system to check availability and reserve equipment.
- NOTE: MMS does not supply SD cards with equipment loans. Students are responsible for their own recordable media.
