VoiceThread is an interactive collaboration and sharing tool that enables your students to build online presentations by adding media (images, documents, and videos) to which others in your class may add comments for discussion. You may assign your class a VoiceThread activity as part of your course activities and graded assignments.

VoiceThread is enabled for all of our Canvas sites, so Shared or Consumer keys are not needed.

You may add a VoiceThread as an External Tool either as an Assignment or in a Module.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use VoiceThread to record lectures?
Voicethread is not the right tool for recording lectures. For creating small videos where you describe an assignment and let students respond with videos, it's great, but for lectures, it's better to use Panopto.

How many VoiceThreads can I have on my Canvas site? Is there a limit?
You may add any number of VoiceThreads to your Canvas sites.
